Well coming back from the pub on Thursday the drive shaft/ CV joint went so it is now sat on the drive feeling sorry for itself.
Got the car in the garage on Monday/Tuesday to get 2 x rear hubs fitted, 2 x TRE's fitted and either a shaft or CV fitted. Cannot wait to have her rolling straight again. Then as the weather improves I need to change over the injectors and do a coolant change and oil and filter change. Roll on Summer...!

He sold it because central locking packed up lolol
Loved that car too

I sold it because I had it 4 years and I get bored usually after 4. I also needed something cheaper to run as we only had one income coming in...
Do miss her...!
Update:
Finally got the car back on Friday and boy, what a difference. No wurring noise coming from the rear and all wheel bolts all the way in Also having it tracked properly with the new TRE's is great. Not ruining my RS2's now. There was a bit of play found in the CV but not too much. Gonna buy a full shaft and CV and have that fitted ASAP. Also, started my centre dash the other day and it is done and in. Has a few marks where I had a RCA cable snap and I hit the dash with the HU. But, it looks good, not perfect but hey.

Good to hear its running right again bud. I need my tre's and tie rods fitting and tracked but I need some cv boots as they won't budge!
Coming to the Yorkshire meet??

Had a long morning with the car, as she had the Black Plague! Cracked open the Autoglym tar remover and got out the elbow grease. Couldn't believe the amount of Tar.
Car just needs a compounding, polish and wax. Just hope the weather holds...

First good day I have had off and had time to treat the car to some TLC.
First up, compound and Machine polish, then wax, exhaust polish and tire shine. Then some new stickers... Starting to fall in love with her again!!

Getting bonnet re-painted soon, then will get bumper done in time!!! It's just a PITA. The rest of the paintwork ain't the best so not sure there is much point in making it all spotless. |
