Going to need to have Friday off this week to get this finished
Just spent ages getting it to idle properly, weird that it's playing up now as I haven't touched the inlet or any of the sensors.
Main problem I've come across is the cambelt needs to be slackened slightly, just whining slightly annoyingly
Still left to do :
Find a 12v ignition live for the epas pump
Slacken cambelt
Sort some bolts for the strut brace
Get the tracking done
Put the dash back together
Road test
Fix whatever broke on the road test
New wiper blades
Clean 6 months of workshop grime off
And anything else I've forgotten

So that green wire to the relay I can run from the alternator live? So far I've only been able to have it running constantly while the battery is connected lol

It's finally getting there! Pretty much everything finished tonight, just a few small things to do tomorrow then it's the big clean lol.
Tonight:
Fresh numberplates
Hot idle sorted, basically added a new hose and separate filter for the idle air valve as it just wouldn't work breathing through the main filter.
I didn't have anything that would fit inside the breather so my old man turned me up a stainless insert on the lathe. Perfect
Strut brace fitted with correct bolts in the strut tops, I was intending to have it powdercoated before pugfest but ran out of time so it'll have to stay yellow for now.
Small leak in the exhaust fixed, sounds much better now
Tracking straightened ready to drive into town ready to have it done properly
Cambelt tension corrected, lovely and quiet now
(I bloody love the Xu10 cambelt cover, q
Literally a ten minute job to tension the cambelt and put the cover back on)
New wiper blades
New wind deflectors
Cooling fan override sorted
Bolt check
Fluid check
Electrical check
Big day tomorrow!

Been an intense two days
Problems with front lowering springs almost meant that I would be coming to pugfest in the hdi but after a late night trip to toselands house in Cardiff and getting up at 6 this morning to change the springs again it's now sorted!
Currently sat waiting for the tracking to be done then it'll be pugfest ready bar a wash :
The diff is certainly going to take some getting used to

Pugfest 2016:
Camping was awesome, people were awesome. Good times had all weekend.
The car was pretty good considering how last minute it all was with changing the springs the morning I left etc
Problems I had on the hill :
The quickshift kept slipping making gear shifts pretty sloppy and I lost reverse a few times over the weekend
Power steering I'm quite annoyed with, it was working alright on the way to Prescott but after my first two hill runs it was cutting in and out, usually on the hardest corners which was a bit exciting :p
Got a few jobs to occupy me this week and then just enjoy the car for the rest of summer :
Couple of my favourite pictures so far :

Fixed the pugfest issues now (hopefully)
Found out only 1 cooling fan was working so sorted that to get both slimlines going with the override mod.
Aquired a 106 epas wiring loom off Matt, changed the relays and switch and my pas situation has got alot better. I think the issue was the relay I was using was suffering from overheating.
Sorted the quickshift permanently (until I get a satchshift anyway) by running a bead of weld around the collars. Try bloody moving now!
Didn't get much of a test drive on the way home as I was in a police car sandwich lol

Any idea on how much an EPAS pump weighs and the max current it draws under load?

I'd guesstimate it weighs around 4/5kg, seems quite heavy but when you see how much is removed from the standard setup it probably works out about the same once you remove all the piping, cooler loop, reservoir, tensioner and idler out of the aux belt loop plus the standard pump itself.
I did have trouble with getting it to work until I replaced the relay with one off a 106, so pretty huge current draw

Ordered yet another set of springs, gone for eibach 30mm this time as the front is still sat a tiny bit too low for my liking.
I'm also on the look out for a new brake setup like a Renault sport 310mm or similar
