Cheers vaughan.
The golf arches offered up
I'm in two minds. Looks a little too 'saxo-esque' for my liking...

I reckon a 15/20mm hubcentric should do the trick. The arches themselves are only that depth themselves, so should bring it back to where it was.

The hubcentrics come with their own bolts, the spacer bolts to the hub, then the wheel sits on the lip of the spacer like it would the hub, then there's 4 different holes in the spacer itself that you use your normal cyclone or whatever bolts with.

Yeah but every spacer kit I have seen has tapered bolts, not flat seating ones that the clones need. IIRC that is

if they are hubcentric, you would use the standard clone bolts. The wheel bolts into the spacer and then bolt the spacer to the hub with the bolts provided.
Doesnt matter on the bolt type for the spacer. They will more than likely be tapered.

Proper hubcentric (you will find a lot on ebay that say they are but aren't) spacers. see what i mean?

Nothing too exciting more happened today, just a little tidying up really. I've just recently fallen back in love with this car after a couple of months of a love hate relationship with it.
Got the dummy filler wrapped. Does anyone have any idea how to remove the filer cap?!?! lol

The vinyl is £8.15 per linear meter on a 1524mm wide roll
Beats the £800 upwards for paying to have it done haha

Thats bolted in from behind the body. You might be able to take the liner out from that wheel arch and get a ratchet up there but you might have to take the filler neck off

if you take the interior trim off there are two holes which you can fit a ratchet throuch and undo the two bolts that hold the cap on

Er, you sure about the cap? IIRC from doing my filler strips on the GTi there's a couple of screws behind the filler strip, and that's all?
