I guess i should update this after today....

So, after a while of wondering whether i should sell the morettes or keep them, Srowell offered me a swap for his black halos and i decided to go for it

So this morning i drove up to the middle of no where and spent the day tinkering

First thing was first, had a look around each others cars and then we set to taking the lights off, swapping them over and re fitting them

Also then fitted some black side repeaters and the gti boot trim to tidy it up a bit

Also got a new clock fitted which works! and some Aero wipers that work

Sam then took me for a spin in his 1.8 beast and made me miss the sound of petrol He also KILLED A BIRD and then hossed up the dual carriageway and shew me the power

Then it was my turn to take sam for a spin and made him pretty jealous of the turbo and boost gauge

Still need to go see him again soon when i got money so i can get my Ph3 bumper

Oh, and should be getting some coilovers in feb so watch this space i guess

But yeah, here is a cheeky picture i took down Sams road

miss the halos already! Looking at induction pipes and trumpets on ebay to see if i can make one of the inner lamps into an induction bit. Not sure how HIDs and Morettes work. I presume they dont work well togther and result in blinding people on the international space station!

No idea never seen anyone HID the morettes! worth a shot mate

Also, are the sidelights supposed to stay on with the dipped?

Speak to EACruise, he has a piece of pipe in the morettes for induction IIRC

Yeh sidelights stay on with he dipped. thats how all cars are im pretty sure!

yeh EACruise and Alee86 have them. Ill talk to Alee as he has the same induction trumpet as im looking to get!

Only the driver side ones come on, bring on tomorrows re wiring

only the drivers sidelight? hmmm both lights should come on. we are talking about the inner most circle yeh? the one without the rings? they both should be on but they are only like visible from straight ahead :/

You have a ph2....you need the ph3 stalk for the lights to both stay on afaik...

Both of the dipped stay on perfectly, but only one of the sidelights stay on when the dipped are on?

Will have a look a bit more tomorrow/today

Ah my bad lol, was tired when I read it last night!

Its main and dipped beam that stay on together on ph3 but NOT ph2!

I see what you mean now thouhg, one of the halos isnt wired right.

Went to Srowells today with Toms306 and fitted this



also have given her a good clean

Mirrors are still the PH2

But, will be swapping all my doors + sideskirts to PH3

I can confirm this. Dec had to sell his Xbox to pay me and dropped it off with its new owner that evening!
