Ive been told they are bastard to open up on the other hand i have hurd of people useing a hair dryer and flat head screwdriver i was thinking of heatin a wall paper scraper up on a gas hob and trying that

all the scraper would do is break the blue surely. You ideally need the glue in 1 piece. I'd oven it use flat blade and keep a heat gun on low heat so it doesn't cool down too fast.

Trust me, it's a total twat...

You'll almost always end up breaking the lip of the rear of them... Or putting a hole in it, imagine the glue is like plyable cement - same kinda consistency... I've managed to do 2 sets, but they aren't in the best condition anymore!!!

^^ +1... Mine were hanging when i'd finished with em... Managed to seal them back up, and they look good on the car, so long as you don't lift the bonnet!

Just started a set of valeos, it was a piece of piss to split!
I can do I guide with the other side if there's enough interest.
Don't think it came out bad for my first time.

Nice one Valeos are supposedly really hard to do, so a guide would be great I assume it's much the same as the other guides floating about "bung it in the oven until really hot, then prise apart carefully" but if you have any epic techniques then please share!!

I'm gonna crack on with the other side today so ill do a bit of a guide, don't know if I've discovered any epic technique but it seriously only took me about 2-3 mins to open it when it was out of the oven!
Most of the time was spent prepping/ painting or removing old glue!

Gonna look epic, I've used plasicoat metallic graphite and it really is a nice contrast to the manstain.
Tell you what if it looks good ill swap you for your smooth bonnet/grill?! Lol

Na, I've seen a few people with masks on moonstone and it always looks good, can't wait to get them on.

Mmmm, I desperately want some valeo masks, the depos (as Chris said) just don't fit all that well.
