Thanks Darren.
Yeah its a bit gimmicy I think the 'partner' thing. Appreciate the headsup though. Wishes for more power...

I monetised my vids about 2 months ago, have only done 3 vids since and have 'estimated' earnings of $4.67, or about £3, on just one vid in that time...
Its not a bad way of making some extra income if you have a wide audience and new videos every week or so. Would be ideal for me but I just cant think of much worth video'ing! Though I may start video'ing more car things. The vid that netted me the above was the Focus static regen, and it was the first using that program on youtube...

mine was not a YouTube partner but it is now
i have also linked my youtube to googles ADsence as that manages the ads and sends me the cheques it also gives me web code that i can embed into a few sites which roles different adds not just the same ones https://www.check-mot.service.gov.uk/ GTI6 Info Don’t drive faster than your guardian angel can fly.

Being a partner used to mean something, but now it seems the default.... You can partner with external companys such as Fullscreen etc, who will promote you etc, Youtube used to do this but not so much anymore... You can only partner on channel, so more than that you would have to use other people etc.
I use youtube to fund my car / workshop, 100% of my youtube earnings go directly back into my workshop / cars, without it I simply couldn't afford to build any of the things I have in the past. The last 12 months + has taken a big hit mind as I don't upload half as much as I used to, you really do have to upload very consistently to keep your subs active / happy, without this any kind of income just goes away to nothing.. Its good imo just to use as an "extra" thing, and keep it for doing more of whatever that is your doing, without pinching money from your income etc. In your case though piggy I have no idea how bad your joint issues are etc, but possibly not the best idea claiming benefits then posting videos on youtube dropping gearboxs out of cars etc... | Dyno Power Runs & Steady State Facilities Available, Just Ask Anytime |

Video Wont be very interesting for the majority, I cant see why I got so many views tbh. That's the first video IIRC youtube contacted me or suggested monetising it. cant remember now. I just signed up and let it roll....it earnt well. Not sure how it works now but there's an option when you upload to monetise your video.

First thing I'd suggest is making it into an actual channel layout because at the moment it isn't.

Yours looks like this:
![]() Mine looks like this, which is known as a channel layout (I think). You have somewhere to show your content, different playlists, etc. ![]()

Dont personally see a huge amount of point in making a snazzy channel page, altho its not very customizable these days anyway compared to how it used to be..
Only thing that will get subs / views is regular good videos.. I used to upload very regular videos, and you very quickly build up a regular subscriber base, which in turns gives views.. | Dyno Power Runs & Steady State Facilities Available, Just Ask Anytime |

It's more so people can see your content easier than seeing who you have subscribed to or videos you've liked recently.
Can also run a certain video that shows up for non-subscribers in order to get their interest. My mate runs his channel advert in this place for example.
