Surely the sensible thing to do if you've the money and space is to buy the 2nd car and use the parts from the 1st one to make it work? Thus giving you a working S16 to enjoy whilst you fix the first one, after which you can sell it on as a working car for a tidy profit.
Makes unquestionable sense - go buy it :p

I have never seen the point in destroying 1 car to fund another unless its been crashed or irrepairably damaged.
They are both good shells just one has a headgasket issue (possibly) and one has an immobiliser issue.

Not saying destroy one car - more than it would be quite straight forward to get one running by borrowing parts from the other whilst it's off the road awaiting repair.
