Not shocked at there being a diesel cooler, just said haven't seen an aftermarket one on before and was wondering why he was adding one on
I guess in my mind it might have been acting similar to the intercooler allowing denser fuel to flow therefore increased bang for buck? or could be on the wrong page in a different book

Looks like you've got some good plans Big Grin

Btw the standard coolers are under the car, so if you don't know you're clearly not man enough.

We know where the standard ones go, but what's the point of an after-market one? I don't imagine they can hold 1350bar of pressure, so pre-hp pump seems logical. Fuel will already be slightly heated by the lp pump and, as Steve said, cooler = denser. Was just wondering if it'd be worth it tbh, particularly if it's going to replace the standard item...

do the hdi's have to be removed for turbo replacement?!

I thought it was a rock n roll procedure like the xud?
Wishes for more power...

the turbo is placed behind/under the engine and it's hard to reach there .. in my case it was better to get the engine out because i had some other parts to be taken care of.

Well long time no updates !

Here's some:

The 1756VK almost done and installed.

Engine back to his place.

Covered by dust Big Grin

The oil cooler isn't going to be installed there, it was just a test to see where's the best place to put it, that's not good indeed. lol

Oil temperature and turbo pressure gauges.

i know m8, i wanted to change it first, suspension and brakes aswell but this turbo shaite came along and ...

for now it will get the H&R springs 40mm and when i have a chance i'll get the 195/55/R15 (i'm thinking something different from the usual cyclone, etc ...) and the upgrade to 283mm or 288mm.

Really glad to see this project is still going, making good progress too. The compressor outlet on the turbo looks like it points straight at the chassis rail, how are you routing the intercooler piping?

Poodle, yep it's still going but taking too long. lol

The compressor outlet was modified of course, i'm not sure how are they routing the piping ..

I was going to see how things are going yesterday but i didn't had the chance, maybe today i'll pass by and take some photos if there's something new to show ...

Just to say that this estate isn't dead !

It's taking a while because i had some problems with the mechanic who was doing this, he wouldn't finish it, kept saying that he didn't had the time and bla bla bla ...

So i decided to change it to another mechanic and i'm waiting for my "turn" now.
