Like others have said, i think pug are getting back on track. The 208 GTi is great and although i haven't driven one, i have sat in one and the driving position just feels perfect for blatting it about all over the place.
Those of us at Pugfest will probably agree the RCZ R was no slouch at all and seemed to handle well! The 308 R looks great as well.
Still won't live up to the 205/206/106/306 though
Sadly cars in general simply won't anymore.
The days of EFI but other than that no fancy electronics and relatively simple engines in very light, very involved cars with no assistance other than very mildly assisted PAS are sadly long gone.
The thing is we will all learn to adapt and love these cars, Think 15 years ago people that were our age at the time were saying the same about the 205,309,306,106. To much abs/pas/front wheel drive blah blah, They will never be as simple, light & involved as the escorts and such. But they became amazing cars in there own right. which is hopfully where peugeot are going with the new generation of hot hatches
