Definitely seems like your stat is the wrong one, they come with different opening temps.
Doesn't explain why the fans aren't coming on until 105 though.

My fans are ECU controlled, so i am waiting for another used one i bought from ebay. Cartier brand instead of Bitron. So the faans are a different issue than the thermostat mystery...
Both the old and the new thermostat i have tried opens at 88c. But with either of the thermostats in, the temp goes above "comfortable" temperature.
