What diesel engines do you rate?

Right, im going out on a limb with this one. Not suggesting it because of tuning potential or ultimate power but the best engine ive had extensive experience of is the Hyundai/Kia D4FB. 126hp 1.6, enough power for general day to day driving, can do 80mpg if you try (and 50 without trying), cheap tax. I did 85k on one and it just would not die. And anyone that knows how i treat company cars knows thats saying something
