Dry pas pump bearings is fairly common, dribble some wd40 onto the shaft and see if the noise goes away. I've probably got a spare pump kicking about somewhere, you will have to come and help me dig for it though! 
I would check everything else on the belt route first though, especially the sprung tensioner, just in case.
A maxi kit would be awesome, they're rare as hens teeth. Used to be a bright yellow one on .net, was a bit of a dog though, and bearing in mind it was genuine the fit and finish was fairly awful.
