Pfft, don't worry what other people are thinking, just imagine sitting at Pugfest with a smugface while everyone else is trying to wash their cars with the hot sun baking the watermarks on. 
But on a serious note, I'd give it a proper clean and wax at home, then just quik detailer, window cleaner and tyre black when you get there.
