Cleaning Cars at Pugfest - MY95 - 09-07-2015 How are people cleaning their cars at Pugfest? Got 300 miles to get there so my car will be a bit filthy Cheers RE: Cleaning Cars at Pugfest - Toms306 - 09-07-2015 Wash it at home and wrap it in clingfilm before you leave...when you get there just unwrap it. RE: Cleaning Cars at Pugfest - MY95 - 09-07-2015 Might look a bit strange bombing down the motorway at 7 in the morning Tom RE: Cleaning Cars at Pugfest - Toms306 - 09-07-2015 Pfft, don't worry what other people are thinking, just imagine sitting at Pugfest with a smugface while everyone else is trying to wash their cars with the hot sun baking the watermarks on. But on a serious note, I'd give it a proper clean and wax at home, then just quik detailer, window cleaner and tyre black when you get there. RE: Cleaning Cars at Pugfest - MY95 - 09-07-2015 Thanks Tom aha Going to wash it at Pugfest anyway, or certainly the wheels at least, how do people who usually go wash their cars? RE: Cleaning Cars at Pugfest - 1616six - 09-07-2015 I wouldn't be worrying about buckets of water ETC once you're there. Get it looking as best you can at home, then as Tom says just give it a once over with some QD and a microfibre when you're there. RE: Cleaning Cars at Pugfest - Jimbo - 09-07-2015 Yeah as said. I usually just give it a wash polish etc at home then when im there dress tyres bumpers etc. And give a wipe over with some quick detailer RE: Cleaning Cars at Pugfest - aaron6 - 09-07-2015 It's gonna rain anyway so don't worry too much. But if you bring a bucket they have cold outside taps for water. RE: Cleaning Cars at Pugfest - MY95 - 09-07-2015 Thanks guys Good point Aaron! Just gunna wash the wheels then if its going to rain RE: Cleaning Cars at Pugfest - Toms306 - 09-07-2015 Make sure you put plenty of wax on beforehand if it's gonna rain, my car looks epic with the rain beading up and rolling off. RE: Cleaning Cars at Pugfest - THE_Liam - 09-07-2015 Drive a tatty POS like mine, it'll be going through the hand car wash near Matt's and that's it RE: Cleaning Cars at Pugfest - Ruan - 09-07-2015 There's toilets near by and a tap near them on a post where you can get water - so you can wash to your heart's content. RE: Cleaning Cars at Pugfest - Piggy - 09-07-2015 all you will need is a soap of some sort and a microfibre... there will be plenty of water from above to wash and rinse! RE: Cleaning Cars at Pugfest - HDIkyle - 09-07-2015 Mine will get a quick sponge and hose Friday night. Ant nobody got time for dat RE: Cleaning Cars at Pugfest - Dum-Dum - 09-07-2015 Just washed mine in prep. Don't wash it at the show when your parked next to other peoples cars, it's just anti social as you splashing water about washing yours splashes dirt and dust up from the ground onto the cars around making other peoples worse. RE: Cleaning Cars at Pugfest - adam b - 09-07-2015 Jesus Christ. Drive the bloody thing, don't clean it. Mine might get a dose of TFR and a jetwash tomorrow, but then again it won't shift the rubber from the last track day RE: Cleaning Cars at Pugfest - miles - 09-07-2015 Car wash down the road, But as I'm in the estate it's staying dirty RE: Cleaning Cars at Pugfest - kentiiboii - 09-07-2015 I might throw a sponge at mine on the camp site, but that'll be about it. :-) RE: Cleaning Cars at Pugfest - RetroPug - 10-07-2015 (09-07-2015, 09:41 PM)adam b Wrote: Jesus Christ. RE: Cleaning Cars at Pugfest - Stef205 - 10-07-2015 you lot use sponges?! RE: Cleaning Cars at Pugfest - kentiiboii - 11-07-2015 (10-07-2015, 09:53 PM)Stef205 Wrote: you lot use sponges?!I don't usually, I use sheep skin mitts. But the gti6 looks like shit anyway so won't make a difference. RE: Cleaning Cars at Pugfest - C2K - 12-07-2015 Fill a bottle with filtered water before you go so no water spots. I know you're there already... |
