The MX-5 is basically an 80's interpretation of a 60's British 2 seat roadster, like the MGB or Triumph Spitfire. Not to mention the fact that it looks very similar to a Lotus Elan, another 1600cc twin cam with pop up headlights...

Got to admit though, thats not much of an advert to say its an 80s interpretation of a MGB....goodness, what a shocking car that is!
I just have to much hate towards the things. I'm sure we all have that one car that we feel that way about!
