Haha, it was as close as I could get to a china meridian....while still having a quick and economical engine too 
(And don't go telling me HDi's are quick.....or economical!

And you guys won't understand the reasons behind buying this one yet (probably not for a few months tbh), but as said, this one is a project, compared to the other one which was just a '60mpg a-b workhorse'.
The silver one will be sold after next week, its got a lot of shit to shift next week before I get rid lol.
When I have a quick diesel daily, and can sort out a few things when college finishes, I may be looking at something with bwarp and 16 valves for the summer.
Also Dan, the numberplate ends in FOJ.....hence Fodge, otherwise people keep saying 'the golf' and I don't know which one they mean!
