Tom you just don't understand car ownership at all. Ignoring the fact we all modify our cars, most will cost more than their value to run over the course of their life. Thats just how it is and generally in the long run it works out cheaper to keep an old car but maintain it as needs be rather than sell/scrap it to buy about 3-400 quid car only to do the same a few months down the line when that needs tyres or a bit of work. Its a false economy selling up every 5 minutes when it needs a little maintenance.
