Normal pumps change the injection timing as revs increase - the semi-ECU pump has a solenoid underneath that has to be controlled by the ECU, if it's not plugged in it just goes to full advance and is stuck there, it won't do anything. It'll work sure, but you'll get poor economy, poor power and probably won't do the precups in the head any good running it with that much timing 24/7...
Sure it'll start, run, drive, rev etc... But it won't perform how it should, if you've set it so it doesn't clank, then you won't get any more injection advance at high engine speeds, it'll probably smoke like a bastard, have high EGTs and poor performance.
I'd change it...
Ye think i will change it just dont have the time at the min lol bt i raced a mazda car last night 140bhp and i left it sitting and i can still screwe it a nother good bit like so so might leve it for a wee while till i get the time :-) thanks for the info every one
