Some further reading suggests the oil rail was only need on the freelander due to the extra stress caused by the heavier car. However as a preventative measure it might be worth the investment then, especially if the original is only good for a few uses.
Been watching videos on how to do it and it does seem simple enough to do, just need a torque wrench and cam locking tool.
While I doubt it'll be getting turbo'd its a nice excuse to clean the head up a bit, maybe port and polish. Anyone have the know how or tools to do that? Would it be hard?
