Got down Jims this morning and got shafts and exhaust on. Also fitted new ball joints and bolts then realised on of the bolts on my solid axleI mount had snapped so had to drop the axle to get that out and replaced It with a bolt. Could do with finding a lambda.
Done that while Jim torqued down the head, next we lifted and mounted the oil cooler. Cooler is much better now as before it was hanging too low and pipes ran under the cross member.
That was the car pretty much ready to go, just the cooling system but thought I would try on the VLR and see what clearance was like for the alternator and radiator ect... looks awesome and fits perfect B) apart from the bonnet doesnt shut :lmao had to chop the bottom skin off the bonnet and flatten the bolt holes on the inlet. Fits alot better now but still need to find another 10mm so I can close the bonnet.
Cars all up and running and seems to be running well. Not really gave it any yet, just wanted to make sure I got home in one piece.
