Basically, if you move quickly towards a source of light, the waves become slightly compressed, this decreases the wavelength and the light looks slightly blue. I think a calculation suggested you'd have to be doing 40% the speed of light for it to happen though.
Its like the dopper effect, but with light waves instead.
