That 8 is the plunger size in mm.

LDA is the positive manifold pressure enrichment system... Ie. More boost, so can burn more fuel... There's no LDA screw to remove and won't improve power.

I think he said some people take the top hat off and pull the pin out? I don't have a top hat on my pump, cos it's a NAD pump. but was just curious!
