So I can ask for a like for like including mods? How does that work and who puts the work in to the car?

As for a next one iv not got a clue I just need a car to get me to work and back at the minute.

Yeah, if your not at fault then you can because as I say you can request to be "put back in the position you were in before the accident" which means they have to sort it out so you have a car of the same standard (including mods mileage etc) regardless of cost, they can't just write it off! Weather they fix yours or replace it is up to them, speak to your insurance company and ask as they should know the score and should do the arguing for you
