Yea I think I'll be taking it to Maxted to get the work done, as you say Arron they are quite reasonably priced 
Just want to diagnose the problem first so I can tell them what to get sorted so they're not wasting time trying to find the cause costing me even more $$
Hoping the rain clears up in a bit so I can get the rocker cover off, see if anything under their shouts out as being wrong i.e the vvc pickup
