I think your timing is probably a bit out, now that you mention you've got that bosch on your TUD. It's probably too retarded, try advancing it a bawhair.
If that is the case, it WILL take a very very long time to start in cold weather. I would know by hearing it start from cold.

When it was on derv it started first turn of engine, it's only since I been on the Veg don't think there is a timing issue.
And the fact to advance or retard the pump is a right ball ache cos cambelt has to come off pulley off to get to bolt heads carnt be arsed with that!
