O i agree, but with a car like the 306 it can help to tighten a line if you have gone in a bit too hot. Just have to obviously be careful not to lose the rear end as it rotates. Your correct though, Combe has such fast corners that you dont really want to be braking mid corner.
Although on the second hair pin a quick dab may help with tightening the nose into the second apex, but im not sure, i havent drove it.

Ah now you see that's specific, a late apex you could argue braking mid corner is desirable

in general braking in a corner is not advisable, and if you are doing it you should probably slow down !

Aye yeah, the only corner I can think of at Combe you MIGHT want to give a dab is if you've gone a little too hot is Quarry corner, but unless you've a LOT of experience, I wouldn't be entering Quarry at a speed where I'd be wanting a quick dab of brake mid corner, because you'll usually end up looking something like this chap:
