It's a bit tricky to get "decent" bass without a sub then, as I hate 6x9's so much

Cheap comps really won't be up to much, bass wise. I had some Vibes in my old DT which weren't bad, much better than the Flis that replaced them. The magnets were huge though, and didn't fit in the doors...
