Anyhow, some progress tonight. Got under the car and started scrubbing up ready to undersell. Got a little carried away and want on a rust spotting vendetta:

Whipped off the wheels and rear bumper and was faced with this:







A bit of elbow grease later:






No - no more black crap will come off. Ive been under there with wire wool and everything. It wont budge, shy of taking paint off.

Removed the harness bar plates and cleaned them up as they were under there untreated:



Gave them a lick of paint



Got round to the front of the car and started attacking the chassis legs where they meet the slam panel:



A few spots of surface rust so got it all wire wheeled back down and painted up:





Also attacked where the boot stops rest. A seam there where I've seen a few cars start to rust:







And then made up a distribution plate for my battery to allow more thread into the terminal, as I was a bit worried about it holding fine:



So all in all, I have yet to do any under sealing lol. About to go and make a start (read mess) now
