Paint on paint removal

So a previous owner of my newly purchased car was... yeh you guessed it, a painter/decorator! I was fully aware of the paint on the bodywork but as the car was pretty immaculate mechanically I didn't think it as much of a problem.

Just wondering on tips to best remove it without taking off the actual body work paint. Any particular substances that would do the trick?
