Ah i see.

I have no oil on my system as it is, so cannot see why it would want to eat oil all of a sudden?

haha thats a stupid thing to say. Thats like saying "why would my car ever break down? It hasnt yet!"

Problem is, get oil on a bare manifold, it smokes and burns off almost straight away. get it on heat wrap, it soaks in, stays hot and eventually catches fire.

It's not the manifold I was questioning. The question was how would oil get onto te system, manifold -back. That would have to be a hell of a leak!
I'm fully aware of the risks of wrapping the manifold. Especially with this engines.
I just couldn't see how oil would get that far down the system?

What like mine when i first got it? Literally everything under my car was covered in PAS fluid lol
