I'm afraid I don't follow The spacers that I removed from the exhaust mani studs were just a cylindrical piece of metal. I can't see how a spring would fit into them, but I could be wrong. Edit: are you sure you are not getting muddled up with the downpipe bolts/nuts? They have a spring in them to absorb vibrations.
