It's a right pain tbh mate so first check all fuses, bulbs and earths to avoid doing this if possible. If it is the switch this is how I got to it.
Remove fuse box cover and lower steering wheel cowling.
Undo the 4 13mm bolts holding the steering column to the dash and let the steering wheel down (Mark the position of the bolts first so it goes back straight)
You should now have a gap big enough to get your hand in to remove the switch
Once removed give it a play with the wire connected and ignition on to see if the lights are working, mine had just become dislodged and needed putting back in.
