Speedo not working, phase 1

Hi my speedo has stopped working. It always just sits at 60. But if im doing a long journey it would suddently start working? But whenever the car is turned off and you start it to drive off again it will go back to sitting at 60?!??
What is the problem here? Have the mot shortly and would like it fixed! Where do i check? Is it a sensor? |
