Unless you're planning on supercharging, or plumbing a much smaller turbo to pull through it, the answer is no.
They're old tech turbos, designed to work on a petrol engine and give the flow for power higher in the revs, so the application is not perfect on an xud, however it's pretty good for a cheap relatively easy to install turbo.
If you want more spool earlier in the revs, you want to be looking either at much newer gen turbos, or VNTs. Basically something more tailored to your application. However the above 2 options carry their own drawbacks (price & control of the vnt mechanism respectively).
Basically if you want something that's better suited you need to do a lot of research!!
