A diesel will fire from bugger all motoring, the ecu just needs tonnes of power / injector drivers need a wack of power, espicaly on these style ones...
Ive managed to start an escort derv before on a battery so flat i had to pull 2 glow plugs to get it to motor fast enough, let it run on 2 to charge the battery, and put them back in and fire up
obviously that was mech injection
