I wouldn't be using 15w/40 in any "High Performance" diesel engine... IMHO you want a good 10w/40 - any more and you're risking not having good enough flow at low temperatures... 15w is bloody thick when cold...
Also if you're actually tuning your car, IMHO you shouldn't be using anything else than a full ester synthetic... Ignore "Fully Synthetic" - it means naff all, it can nigh on be a Semi-Synthetic as most are from mineral base stocks... You need a Full Ester Synthetic... Both Me, Darren and a few others have been using Gulf Competition 10W/40, it's not scary expensive, but it's damned good stuff... Just don't go using Titan Pro-S by Fuchs/Silkolene - it seems to make Vacuum pumps leak like a sieve, 3 of us used it and within a month had uncontrollable oil leaks from the vac pump...
