I cannot believe 1.8 rods are such a nightmare... I can't see the point in this build if you're doing a 2.0 turbo build... It's been done a thousand times before... You might as well get an OEM gti6 lump, skim the pistons for a decomp, bolt a turbo on and be done with 280hp...
The whole point of the 1.8 is that it'll drop the torque figure, make for a revvier engine which should be epic to drive... Remember a GTi6 is over 80kg heavier than a 1.8... That's like having me sat on your front bumper for more understeer....
