MOD: Switch colour LED Mod

so your dash has a nice colour led set
and all that is left is the white iluminated window switch's
with the help of this guide you may be able to change this yourself

Tools needed
soldering Iron
solder
small screwdrivers
desoldering wick/gun
solder

coloured LED from the list below
the list below includes the maplins part number

N66KG 3mm LED White
N67KG 3mm LED Red
N68KG 3mm LED Green
N69KG 3mm LED Blue
N70KG 3mm LED Yellow
N71KG 3mm LED Orange

Drivers door switch



push down the 5 higher tabs closest to the top of the switch






slowely ease the top off carefully not to loose the spring!



Take switch block and release the next ring of tabs
careful and hold the block so the connections are on the top







slowley ease the connections up leaving the fingerswitch's low

this is so the internal switch pads and mirror switch does not escape



you should have a circuit board in the other half



remove rubber buttons



turn block over and locate tads on connection block




press tabs in and gently press connections through the base



now desolder the line of conections at the front edge of the circuit board



you should if youve been good and clean with the iorn lift the board clear



clean up connections



clean up circuit board



remove replace and test leds



reaseble board carefully soldering the fron edge connectors


reasemble switch and test in car
