Just a quick thread for now, in preparation for FCS. Don't know if anyone was following it on pug306.
As it stands now, the engine is running but I have slight head gasket issues but still going to risk it down to Fcs and then a rebuild will be on the cards when I get back. So even if I end up going home on a low loader I ain't that fussed!
Recent pic
Still to do before FCS
Seats and cage to weld in
MOT
Rear beam to lower substantially.
Spec at moment
Standard rod thrower spec engine
T25 hybrid
9mm Bosch
Oil cooler
Home brew air intake
An exhaust of sort
Tmic
Stripped out buckets and cage
247mm front brakes and refurbed drums at the back. Ha
Anyway spare block will be getting done after Fcs with hdi rods bit of lightening skimming etc, brand new head, decent clutch and fmic. And more than likely 11mm
See you all at Fcs!

Are you going to try and get a 306 DT bonnet liner to fit to cool the TMIC?

Well it's going front mount so not doing anything! Tempted to drill loads of holes in the bonnet but they're like rocking horse shit so want to save it!

Fair enough, as long as it's not being hooned it'll probably be fine anyways

Just keep your heaters on and then you can feel if they go cold if/when it air locks...
Fecking love this car though!

Thinking when I get back from Fcs, ditch the side gti mouldings, smooth the holes away then NATO green paint job, coilovers on front for more lows and rebuilt rear beam. Only an idea at the moment though!

Don't do the nato paint. they can just look tacky after awhile. Plus the paint looks fairly good on the pics.

Paintwork is no good, a lot of the panels have been resprayed, looks like about 20 years ago and has not lasted well.

Bodged in subframes ftw!
Seats in, harnesses done.
Basically the cars now ready, just needs an MOT and bit more plastic glueing on the sides.
Decided against lowering though, so looks a bit of a lady garden but didn't want to start lowering it and find the beam was shagged and then me be unable to sort it before fcs!
