So....
This was a mega-supersecret-ninja plan, but there were leaks. So I'm not sure how much of a surprise this will be....
Basically, since the unfortunate accident with my amazing Diablo GTi6 (which will be sorely missed), I have been on the prowl for a properly mint replacement.
Being that I had almost an entire car for spares, my only real concern was for the condition of the shell. Extras were of course a bonus, but essentially the plan was to swap over all the win parts from my old car.
Anyway, after seeing 3 "mint" cars which were complete dogs in real life, I found one...
Spec. from the ad below:
For sale is my much loved and cared for 306 GTI6, its Astor Grey, there are around 60 left in this colour in the country. 117k on the clock, its had a genuine Peugeot clutch 8 months ago, serviced and cambelt, water pump, aux belts, track rod ends, at 105k ( just over a year ago ). Nearly new Raceland fully adjustable coilovers with the rear beam lowered to suit. Its also had fully refurbished standard cyclones which are immaculate with 4 nearly new Yokohoma Parada Spec 2's. The car has a Parrot hands free bluetooth system. Very little wear on the driver seat, no rips or holes, unlike most, bolsters are still tight as they should be. FULL catback stainless steel MAGNEX exhaust which is not too loud but provides a lovely tone, also has a K&N air filter, it has a Billet lightened steel flywheel however i do not have proof of this but it is clear when driving how much faster it pick up the rev range with this. The engine is spot on with no knocks, bangs, rattles or unhealthy noises, I really cannot fault this car. Its mot'd till may, but can put a new MOT on it for the new owner. It has 4 months tax. This car is absolutely immaculate and has had no expense spared. This is without a doubt he cleanest and most cared for 306 in the country. Folder full of receipts. Owned previous to us by a 306 enthusiast and then myself as a Peugeot enthusiast. The first to see this car will buy. The only reason I have to let this car go is because we are starting a family and its just not suitable for us.

Having been mislead somewhat by previous sellers, I spent 45minutes on the phone to the owner going through every detail of the car. It sounded too good to be true.
I then spent the entire week giving Fooby Scott Ruan & Mazz earache about it, as it was above what I was prepared to pay for but looked and sounded perfect!
After much umming & aah-ing, myself Mazz, Scott, Niall & Grant took the trip all the way up to Suffolk to go look at it.
Even pulling up outside th sellers house (in the beautiful sunshine) it looked immaculate.
Took it for a drive, everything was as it should be, and honestly I couldn't fault any part of the car, besides it only having one key and not fully comprehensive service history. The latter wasn't massively worrying to me as eventually I intend to swap the whole running gear and suspension from the old car.
So anyway, a deal was struck, but there were conditions.... Basically, the bloke was a bit of a car-nut... He has a mk1 Focus RS, aaaaaannnnddd....... a 205 gti6...with a twist...
2.1 overbore, fully built himself; race camshafts, high-comp pistons, 2.1 diesel crank, TBS, the list goes on. Basically there was nothing in it besides a cage, 2 bucket seats and a Stack-esque rev gauge...
I told him he had to take me out in it as conditions of sale . Went for a full-on thrash  . OMFG. 0-60, I counted less than 5secs. 8.5klimiter action, full-on wheelspin near top of 4th at 100+. Honestly, I've been in a 300+hp scooby, and it felt tame compared to this!! Massive credit to the chap, he built the whole thing in his garage. What a hero!
Anyways, we briefly met Toms306, tried to go find food and ended up at Burger King! Then at 5:30pm we decided we'd had enough of Suffolk, and left ultimately to Curt's!
Finally got to Curt's at 9:30ish, didn't eat till gone 10:30, didnt sleep till gone midnight.
We all got up as it was so bright out at about 5:45am, and got the rear beam, wing and hatch off the old car, and then whilst Niall started work on his '6, I got mine up in the air to change the wishbones, lower brace and coilies for my shiny go-faster bits anyways, early-on Niall got the "whip-call" requesting his immediate return home, so activities had to be accelerated, which was very stressful. It's sortof uptogether, but needs torqueing up etc.
Anyways, enough chat. Pics!!
Unfortunately, it got fairly dusty on the West Sussex roads due to resurfacing *rageface*, but it still shows how mint it is! I still can't believe it myself!
Oh, and the 'lack of service history' has properly played out in my favour; it has a 4-2-1 exhaust manifold It also has a massive sub and amp, and a parrot bluetooth kit as well!
Basically, I'm over the moon with it
