Foxy-jim Wrote:Haha. Fair enough! Going to put a 1.6 TU in mine! Haha. Sticking by it! Go for the 16v out of the 106 GTI/Saxo VTS

I'd love to drop a VTS lump in a 306, lightweight and 180bhp is easy with standalone, cams and TB's.

What sort of figures do the 1.6/1.8 engines push out standard?
On the 306 waiting list.

Pretty sure it goes...
1.4 - 75hp 1.6 8v - 90hp or 100hp depending on year 1.6 16v - 120hp 1.8 16v - 115hp Yes, the 1.6 16v is more powerful than the 1.8 16v :?

If your dropping a different lump in you might aswell go for the 106 gti/saxo VTS lump, although I'd get some insurance quotes first!

The 16v TU is a fantastic engine! You want one of the latest ones that has a turbo on the front of it though!

As I have said already. Only dropping the 1.6 8v in as it is a simple case of just swapping the block and ecu over then job done!
