I know, let's put the oil filter on the front of the block....

Then tilt it 35*...

So all the oil invariably ends up pissing all down the front of the block as you undo the filter.

Yeah, great f*cking idea.

But seriously, the one good thing about my old XRDT was the easy to undo oil filter.

The saab one aint too bad.

the 1.8 is a real pig, no room to get my big screwdriver in there! :p

I actually don't mind mind the TU lumps....pretty frugal....just what you have to keep in mind is that they're not built for speed but for round town. Retern decent mpg and are nippy enough for town traffic! Although the HG's are made of cheese

The 16 valve TU in the 106 GTI is awesome, great on fuel, revvy, and an absolute monster over 4k Big Grin

Would be no good in a 306 though because of the weight...

to be fair my 1.6 wasnt actually that bad, just chewed up the gearbox,almost burnt out the head had £1700 spent on it in a year but wasnt that bad Tongue
