thought id start a thread over on here as im going to start getting lot of stuff done to the car.
so i paid £750 for my w reg hdi with full service history every 6k miles. it was in need of a new timing belt and a service so i got them out of the way as well as a new aux belt.
this is when i first had it and gave it a good clean.
later on it was debadge
hids
not a lot has happened over winter just mot and tax. but i bought some 16" araines that need 2 tyres and refurb. so i bought 15mm spacers all round and stud converions.
not got round to refurbing and fitting these yet as i wanted to lower the profile of tyres. but i been offered a set of 17" aidels from my dad at a very good price.
this just need a new coat of paint. but have a full set of brand new tyres the right profile for the 306.
heres a picture of them both together. ive chose the 17s just need to choose a colour for them. person who owned them before used taper nuts so i gott drill a bit of metal out to make the propper nuts fits.
over the last couple of weeks ive been preparing my centre console and spraying it moonstone and ive finally finished it and fitted today.
just left my house in car to see a ups van pull up today so i rushed back to mine and quickly got my parcel.
very shiney
will be getting my alloys sprayed and fitted over next couple of days. i have 307 283 brakes waiting for it as well. coils and beam will aall be lowered together. somewhere between 40-60mm. will be giving the car a good clean sunday as it hasnt been cleaned since september.
comments always welcome

And conner that's what I thought loads of people have araines now. Where as I don't think any one had Aidels.

Thanks I wasn't sure it was going to work either. I think any other colour and it wouldn't.
I've pm'd you about the steering wheel.

Nice progress, prefer the design of the Aidels over the Araines but I prefer 16" wheels on the 306 to 17" ones, so the ideal IMO would be some 16" Aidels

Yeah I know what you mean. With the 16s I gotta get lower profile tyres for them to fit. Where as the 17s are perfect size with 4 nearly new tyres

Yeah I read that further up, 205/40/17 on them then? for 16" wheels you will need 205 or 195/45/16
I guess they still have the original 307 spec, balloon profile tyres on them ATM then?

They're just tiny things. I think maybe one more light sand should get rid. But they're are very very light marks.
Off to pick up paint today.what do you think about silver glitter? I'm
Thinking a light spray of them might look nice. But too much could be wrong.

Update.
Been working on car last couple of days fitting new ta-technix coilover kit. Also had aero wipers come too. Waiting for few more bits to arrive.
As for my alloys I have 1 finished and ready for lacquer and that's it.
But pictures of it lowered.
Rear is 55m front is 40mm.
Front still needs dropping 10mm.
Highly recommend saxo-parts in Langley mill for rear beam. Everything on my car has been seized specially beam. I also asked him to do the 2 front rear beam mounts and one of my dampers had seized and only charged me £100.
Next on the list is finish alloys and get fitted.
Fit 283mm calipers.
Fit laguna splitter.
Hopefully I'll have these done by fcs.

You sure that's 40mm on the front? Tbh I'd leave it as it is, or bring the front up slightly

Yeah he was a top man mate. And like you said mine was a right lady garden. I had sized bolt on rear beam mounts, sized damper that he ended up grinding off and to lower rear beam which was seized. He had it from 9.30 till about 7.30-8pm. And charged me £100.
He really does know his stuff. If I have any work that I cba to do then I'll defferntly take it too him. Highly recommend him.
Got any pictures of it lowered on back? How's it feel with the dampers? I'm loving mine now been going long bendy ways for sake of it today

speaking to him today he said it should have cost you alot more but thats what he chargers so thats what you pay. dont matter how long it takes. that i my book is a top bloke.
only had mine dropped another 25mm so not a massive difference tbt. but the handleing is alot better with the dampers. will get some before and after pics later but cba at the mo mate. carnt wait to get my 16's back on to see the finnished product. as i said kent, if you need any help in finnishing your alloys then im here to offer you a shed and a little bit of knowledge on spraying.

Yeah I was expecting around £150 tbh. But like I say it's got him a regular customer and recommendations what else could you ask for!
Cheers mate. I'm ok with spraying to be fair and I has a garage down the road if needed. Worst part is waiting for halfords to have the paint in. No where near me has any, might have to pay someone on here to get me some.
In meantime just getting them primered and do my splitter as I have paint for that.
I have enough experience with painting anyway. Sprayed my whole Astra last year with rattle cans.
