ultimate 205 radger bus
#1
hi everyone ive been meaning to start a project thread up for a while.

this project has stemmed from having a 1.9 xud lying around in the workshop that i decided to strip down one day.
sorry for the lack of photos as i broken about 4 phone since starting this lol

so full strip down and cleaned and painted a few bits and bobs back up.
so started to re build bottom end using 2.0 16v hdi rods as these are a lot thinker than stock rods.
sent my head off to be skimmed and in the  mean time i got mr lobb to re seal and open up a pump for me
putting the head back on the block using victor reinz mls gasket and arp studs.

now just been bolting bit back up to the block and timed her up

put cam belt covers on and mocking brackets for something up

also bolted paddle clutch up
also been on the look out for a car for about a year not found anything that does not need a tonne of money spending on it then remember this 205 up for sale a while ago and it never sold most of you guys will know the car
so about 3 weekend ago me and the other 2 hillbilly's went to go and collect her 300 miles 6hours in a heated seat f*ck loads of fuel and one flat as piss landrover we made it back with this      once home i got straight to work pulling the witch came out really quick as it seamed like the whole thing was held in with cable ties ahah

Held together with cable ties = Drift spec y0!

Anyway cool project, I reckon those charger brackets might need some beefing up though.

Good to see a thread up for this bud. I have a feeling this could be one scary 205 to drive once all done. I look forward to seeing more updates.

That Trents old one? Looks clean enough.
Clones do not suit 205s in my opinion though. Pepperpots FTW.

Radge on, good sir.

Small update sorry about lack of pictures
the motor is now in on it mounts
Wiring harness is all on
Water system is all plumbed up apart from now needing a different header tank as the blower is in the way of the oem one.
Turbo had been relocated over the box oil line and drain sorted
Oil cooler mounted and plumbed in
Drive shafts in altho I had to cut 15mm off the near side shaft for it to seal in the box.
The motor does now turn over fire up and idle at long last

Also picked up another 205 this weeked as it was cheap and local

The new bus

wondered where this had gone Smile

that old 1.9 was a good one, shame it had a lucas pump but it never gave issues, I've known it since it had 90k miles on it.
need a part number? http://public.servicebox.peugeot.com/ and http://service.citroen.com/ will sort you out.

Tiny up date dash is all back together and all seats put back in. The worst bit about the 205 dash is if you look to hard it seem to crack it a nightmare

Also managed to sort out a header tank witch come off a ph 3 306. Managed to bleed her up and then had a coolant pipe split so now the inlet back off and im waiting on parts. Front brakes are apart for a paint and a free up that aout it for now.

Small update Well bit more bodging and radging gone on this weekend decided I didn't like how I ran the pipe work from the mani as it got in the way of the throttle cable so I went around instead. the front mount is pretty much finished apart from a few small brackets to be made.
