I'm still trying to dodge bumping into him, think he's realised and trying to talk to me.
I should just try and embrace it as being as I am is only going to make things worse.
We're looking at going for part rent /buy pretty sharpish, it's accelerated or plans of doing that in a weird way

I'd go back to homebase and buy another big ass lock. For his door.

All has been quiet.... Far too quiet
In a weird positive way this has boosted our hunt to find a house, which we have. Moving in mid next year... Couldn't come sooner!

Why is it taking so long to move if you have already found a house?

Oh, not sure Id want a new build, what are they doing with the percentage they have to give to social housing?

So many social housing people where I live. Aside from parking their cars on the road (instead of parking bays, to be fair, the owner/occupiers do this too) we don't have any problems with them.
I'd never buy a new build again though, tiny houses, every cost cut that could be. Postage stamp for a garden, thats full of clay and rubble.

2 bedroom detached coach house style, garage and big garden.
We've already posted a letter through the door of a resident who lives in a similar coach house a couple of roads down and he let us walk round and have a look. it's massive inside and quite well done. Just got to get life insurance for the mortgage now

^This, all the kids that kick footballs at the cars all seem to come from the same few houses. Besides new builds just don't seem to be made the same as the old stuff. Built to tick boxes rather than to last.

A certain percentage of new builds have to be, don't they?
Is it on an estate/development?

In London yes. Elsewhere a certain percentage (30% springs to mind?) has to be affordable housing. Big difference!

The rules depend on the size of the development and location but always worth investigating if you are buying.
Very few in social housing are any trouble at all but some are, at a guess somewhere between 1in20 and 1in100 households. I could tell you about some developments here where although only maybe 20% is social we are at the social side every other day and I think I've been to the owned side once.

Despite no problems here, I see a police car at LEAST once a day.
Might be why there are no problems.....

It's all to easy to relate with you, I'm 21 now but since I was 5 was uncle would take us to school and babysit us,as my old man worked nights.
20 years its taken him to get help, hes a paranoid schizophrenic and subconsciously craves attention and would even get jealous of kids having birthday presents. He's stole my grandfathers new (at the time) escort estate and drove it into a pub. If I listed half the things we know off you'd call B.S. it eventually came to an end when he stabbed someone in their backyard as he was "hiding" from whatever had taken over him at the time. even then 2 years later he was in some sort of halfway house and could go out and go on these binges where he would get high/drunk and proceed to talk about people looking or acting funny around him but in the end he'd talk his way out of it and it's just a vicious cycle for anyone involved.
feel for you, but glad you can get away from it all.

Been to see the builder, house ready in June.
I stand corrected yes there are social housing on site, but luckily it's a good distance away on the development.
There's 2 houses that back onto our garden and they're shared ownership, part of the help to buy scheme off the government. I'm happy that's not going be an issue. The other houses which back onto ours/surround us are full ownership
He's been very angry again, slamming /breaking stuff again generally pissing me off.

Just read this thread I hope everything's ok and you move in soon
Had similar experiences that are still going on at the moment so I feel ya
One of my good friends is undiagnosed but the rest of us (my close friends) all know there's some serious issues there. Makes up stories all the time and goes off the deep end regularly talking about all kinds of violence. My girlfiend met him a while back and no more than 5 mins after he put his finger in her face and started acting aggressively, luckily I was right there and I had warned her beforehand he didn't get any further with it but it's scary dealing with someone like that !!
Other things I can't talk about on here incase it's seen cause there's a legal battle going on at the moment but you have my empathy dude hope all is well and he get's the treatment he needs.
