Drivers speaker and tweeter.

I've finally gotten round to checking whether it was the speaker or the wiring that's buggered, well my fears have been confirmed, it's the wiring, I checked the speaker and the connection behind the stereo and tried another speaker but no victories. 
So where do I go from here? Do I retrofit a separate wire to the speaker? The locking and window works which is lucky and confusing that it's just the speaker wiring that's not working. Or do I do something different and look at other places to mount speakers so I don't have to put wiring through the door? 
Any advice or ideas are welcomed

Or just fix the door loom? Or am i missing something? Lol

How difficult is that? Because I've heard it's a ball ache, taking the door off etc

Door looms are too bad to repair, get the door off so you can get to the loom easier and look to see what wires need repairing

Its easier with door off but can be done by just disconnecting the loom from the body
