I've made a confident decision to rn 90/10 veg for the rest of the year until it gets cold again.
With the duty and tax on the fuel prices, it's disgusting... i'm more than happy to go to court for it, and in all honesty find the corruption of this government is rediculous.

The tax free allowance for veg is 2500 litres per year.
You are right though Samass, it's difficult for them to monitor usage.

The other nice thing about veg is that if you buy from a wholesaler, you generally don't pay VAT either..
Sticking it to the taxman
EDIT: Ignore this, you don't pay VAT on oil regardless....

Veg FTW. I'm on veg. 80/20 mix, keep receipts to prove i do actually put diesel in.
Im using sunflower at the moment, seems better than veg. with 20% V-power diesel. Tesco EXPRESS sell it, but not all of them i dont think. Ive tried 4 but only one sold it. 2 x 5L bottles for a tenner. But, i've just found out my neighbours got a Bookers card

also remember it is not 2500l of veg you can use! unless you are running 100%
it is 2500l of the new fuel you mix!
ie: 50/50 mix = 30ltrs veg+30ltrs diesel = "60ltrs" from the 2500ltr allawance
you have to keep records of both derv and veg for 5years!

Do you get less power And less mpg with Veg BTW? Just something my tutor said last week and I wasn't sure if its right? Obviously the cost easily covers lower mpg, I get that, but less power?
