Aren't there 2 allen bolts on the support bracket? And 1 13mm nut/bolt on the other 'leg' of the bracket?

I'm sure you were told it was a pain in the ass.
![]() It's been nearly a year since I rebuilt a HDi and I must admit I can't really remember now, sure there shouldn't be anything else holidng it on though. All the EGR shite is removed yeah?

Hmm, don't know without seeing it. Is the bracket free or is that still solid? May have to loosen both of sides of it if you haven't already. Also are the oil pipes in the way at all? Both are flexible so shouldn't be that though.

You need to remove the big aluminium inlet pipe too, its bolted on the inlet side of the turbo, with the 8 nuts and studs out there is just the exhaust and the lower support bracket(2 allen key bolts and 1 bigger nut and bolt 16mm iirc) holding the turbo and manifold on

the stupid thing is out, there was 2 allen bolts
![]() it was definitely leaking as there's oil everywhere and you can see where the gasket failed. only took 6 hours to remove it ![]() ![]()

Take the time to clean out the inlet manifold and thoroughly clean the mating faces on head and manifold or else you will be removing it all again
