hdi engine - tysonbully2k12 - 06-05-2015 would anyone have a hdi engine removed that they could take a picture of the bolts on the inlet manifold and exhaust manifold? Rep will be given RE: hdi engine - Jonny81191 - 06-05-2015 What do you need to see? RE: hdi engine - HDi--Power - 06-05-2015 RE: hdi engine - tysonbully2k12 - 06-05-2015 Exactly that ^^^^ Thanks RE: hdi engine - Toms306 - 06-05-2015 Should also note theres no EGR on that pic...so yours will have more shite in the way... Or allen bolts? RE: hdi engine - HDi--Power - 07-05-2015 Allen heads on top, 13mm nuts on bottom RE: hdi engine - tysonbully2k12 - 07-05-2015 how many bolts are holding the turbo on? i have the 8 nuts and spacers off. one allen bolt near the sump. is there any more? RE: hdi engine - Toms306 - 07-05-2015 Aren't there 2 allen bolts on the support bracket? And 1 13mm nut/bolt on the other 'leg' of the bracket? It's been nearly a year since I rebuilt a HDi and I must admit I can't really remember now, sure there shouldn't be anything else holidng it on though. All the EGR shite is removed yeah? Is the bracket free or is that still solid? May have to loosen both of sides of it if you haven't already. Also are the oil pipes in the way at all? Both are flexible so shouldn't be that though. RE: hdi engine - HDi--Power - 07-05-2015 You need to remove the big aluminium inlet pipe too, its bolted on the inlet side of the turbo, with the 8 nuts and studs out there is just the exhaust and the lower support bracket(2 allen key bolts and 1 bigger nut and bolt 16mm iirc) holding the turbo and manifold on RE: hdi engine - tysonbully2k12 - 07-05-2015 the stupid thing is out, there was 2 allen bolts it was definitely leaking as there's oil everywhere and you can see where the gasket failed. only took 6 hours to remove it RE: hdi engine - Toms306 - 07-05-2015 Yay I was right... 6 hours!! I can have a HDi engine out in 2... RE: hdi engine - tysonbully2k12 - 08-05-2015 i have the inlet back on just to bolt exhaust mani up and put everything back together hopefully it fixes the problem RE: hdi engine - Toms306 - 08-05-2015 Well done lol, you've clearly got more patience than myself!!
