Looking at getting a C30 myself; a T5. What are these like on the daily? handling, interior, general driving experience?
There's a couple near me I can test drive but would love to hear your opinions on it
Handling pretty good, covers ground better than any other car i've owned. Its a Volvo so interior is solid, simple but well thought out.
T5's are 230hp, map easily and a lot of aftermarket tuning parts available. Its a Focus so 99% is interchangeable.
On the forums I think the general gist is to expect 25-35mpg. Not many things go wrong, the odd sensor here and there. You made need to upgrade the clutch if you'll want big power.
Are you on the IOW? Welcome to come and have a drive of mine.

You're on the island also?
Thanks for the input; but yes, looking at upgrading to about 290-300bhp, any more is probably too much for round here and block work starts to come into question.
Just doing some reading around them now and their pro's and cons
^^^ loving that, loads of slammed C30's about. Id love to drop mine but do too many miles.
Lolvo is doing exactly as it should, still makes me smile/surprises me. Its now on 70k miles and i think i'll be changing it before it gets too high but i've no idea what to replace it with!
On another note, been collecting a few wheels....got a set of 18's to go which are a bit wider so i'm hoping it will help with traction issues.

Much as I like the D5, they're bloody gruff engines! Went in one the other day, forgot how noisy and thumpy they are compared to the later 2.0 D3/4 units.
Makes mine with the PSA motor seem amazingly refined!
Do map well though the 185s.

Update time.
This regrettably has to move on as I've replaced it with a V50. Needed something a bit bigger as my circumstances changed. If you know anyone interested in a good spec car let me know!
